Exeter, PA (February 05, 2021) – NTP-STAG, the leading distribution company for the recreational vehicle aftermarket, opened the new year with the 2021 Expo, both in person on January 18 – 19 at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, FL, followed by a weeklong virtual event January 25 – 29.
 
“Supported by extensive customer surveys and supplier communications voicing a strong interest in our holding the live show, our events team worked closely with the Marriott Orlando World Center staff to establish parameters and protocols while integrating the technology and tools that allowed us to execute a safe and healthy event for all attendees,” said NTP-STAG President, Bill Rogers. “Although meeting these needs required us to reduce the number of staff, exhibitors and customers, the result was a high-quality event allowing dealers valuable networking opportunities while partaking in the various educational seminars and of course, show-only sales and promotions. We are grateful to our customers who took time out of their busy schedules to join us in Orlando and participate in Expo.”
 
In conjunction with the live event, the virtual Expo, hosted through NTP-STAG’s online portal, viantp.com, provided attendees weeklong access to a similar slate of sales and promotions, Power Hours and buying opportunities along with the impressive roster of speakers and product seminars that appeared at the live event in Orlando. Hall of Fame speaker and well-respected economist Dr. Mary Kelly PhD returned for the second year as a PRO Speaker to share her business insights while bestselling author and nationally-recognized social media expert, Corey Perlman discussed best practices to maximize digital business opportunities including developing and publishing effective, high-quality social media content. Numerous RV University product presentations by some of the industry’s leading suppliers rounded out the agenda both in person, and virtually.
 
“While logistics, capacity limitations and the geographical travel restrictions of the current environment restricted live event capacity, the virtual show allowed us to engage with dealers while showcasing the leading manufacturers in a safe, online environment,” continued Rogers. “The wider accessibility of the virtual show format also gave us an opportunity to expand our reach and communicate with a larger audience for an extended period of time. We foresee incorporating the virtual show elements into our event programming well into the future.”
 
For RV Dealers, many of whom were attending their first live show in nearly a year, the 2021 NTP-STAG Expo was a welcomed return to the calendar.
Attendee, PPL Motor Homes President, Diana LeBlanc summarized her sentiments at the conclusion of the show in Orlando. “We didn’t know what to expect coming this year, we just knew that NTP-STAG would take care of us. The feeling this year is completely different but it’s a good feeling and I think it’s going to be the future of the industry.”

Exeter, PA (December 29, 2020) –  New products will be one of the featured showcases as NTP-STAG Expo 2021 sponsored by Airxcel, comes to the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, FL. Along with this centralized new products display, the show marks the debut of the marine supplier showcase as NTP-STAG expands their product offerings into this exciting category. The NTP-STAG Expo will be held in person January 18 – 19 and followed by a virtual event January 25 – 29.

The best new products of 2021 will be consolidated in a convenient, centralized section of the Expo for easy viewing, and the leading RV industry suppliers will be in attendance with their latest product offerings as well.

 Exeter, PA – NTP-STAG will be hosting EXPO 2021, its annual dealer event, live at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, FL, January 18-19, 2021. The company will then be presenting a week-long, follow-up virtual event January 25 – 29, 2021.

“The NTP-STAG EXPO is an important event on the RV industry calendar and we have been in constant communication with our customers and suppliers as we finalize our plans to present a safe and healthy event for all attendees and show management staff,” said NTP-STAG Vice President, Sales, Fred Petrivelli. “Combining the elements of an in-person show with the subsequent virtual show will allow us to follow appropriate CDC guidelines, and while this limits our live attendance, we can offer much of the same great presentations, products and promotions to a wider show audience virtually.”

EXETER, PA – (February 3, 2020) Grapevine, Texas was the epicenter of the RV business as industry professionals from across North America gathered at the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel and Convention Center on Jan 13-14 for The EXPO. The industry’s largest warehouse distributor event, presented by NTP-STAG and sponsored by Airxcel, provided attendees the unique opportunity to explore new products, visit with leading suppliers and participate in business seminars while benefitting from show-only specials and discounts.

Communicating the “Our Vision for Serving the Aftermarket” theme throughout the two-day event, NTP-STAG team members and executives presented their industry viewpoint while receiving valuable feedback from the dealers, suppliers and media in attendance who shared their thoughts on the positive outlook of the RV Industry.

“The EXPO provides us a tremendous opportunity to spend valuable time with our dealers. We gain their important perspective on our industry while sharing our vision on how we can assist them in growing their businesses,” said NTP-STAG President, Bill Rogers.

Taking center stage across the 150,000 sq. ft. show floor was the New Products Showcase, encompassing more than twice the space of the prior year, where suppliers were eager to introduce new products from existing and new categories such as housewares, pet supplies and marine products to the RV market. Also making its debut at The EXPO was the Overland Bound area, featuring vehicles outfitted with tents and travel gear essential to this popular outdoor lifestyle trend.

“These multiple innovations presented dealers in attendance with several opportunities to expand their businesses to adjacent spaces, such as the marine industry and overlanding, while suppliers introduced more new products than ever before,” added Rogers. “For many, Overlanding is exposing an entirely new segment to the experience of outdoor vehicle travel and camping as a gateway into the RV lifestyle.  As these interests develop, RVs will satisfy their eventual requirements for greater comfort and convenience.”

A cornerstone of the vision presented by Rogers, and a popular discussion topic throughout the show, was the agreements NTP-STAG has established with a number of RV Builders and Suppliers to provide warranty fulfillment services. These agreements, now in place with Coleman, Grand Design, Jayco and Heartland RV, address the important issue of shortening Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT) with expediting parts delivery resulting in faster response times and improved customer experiences.

“Downtime has been a crucial concern throughout the industry,” shared NTP-STAG Director of Category Management, Jon White. “Dealers were pleased to learn more about this collaboration and how we are working together to significantly reduce the time it takes to get parts to their dealerships to execute warranty repairs and get their customers back out on the road.” 

Preceding the show opening, participants were treated to insight from a compelling RV Professional Retail Organization (PRO) Education Speaker roster that included Chief Executive Officer of Sardek Love International Dr. Sardek Love, economist and best-selling author Dr. Mary Kelly, and America's Millennial expert Gabrielle Bosché, in addition to more than 30 product showcase seminars. These business development seminar sessions covered important subjects such as “Generating Increased Sales and Repeat Customers” and “Leading for Profit Growth” along with “Generational Leadership.” The trio provided valuable insight tailored to meet the needs of the RV industry.

“This was the tenth year we have provided the industry with a compelling roster of exceptional speakers,” said Rogers. “These seminars introduce show attendees to innovative skills and business techniques while the speakers’ discussions serve as a cornerstone to the continuing education programs available online through the newly revised RVU platform.” 

For EXPO attendees visiting with suppliers and learning about unique show specials and promotions, the product ordering process was easier and more streamlined than ever before with the refinement of electronic cart pre-load functionality. Utilizing this fifth iteration of the electronic ordering platform, many attendees built their orders in advance, improving the productivity of their show experience. The show experience was also enhanced by the introduction of the new EXPO Mobile App sponsored by Southwire featuring the show agenda, RVU schedule, an interactive floorplan, live notifications, Power Hour Specials and more. 

“Technology plays a significant role in how business is conducted so we are continually developing tools to increase EXPO attendees’ productivity on the show floor and streamline the sales process,” said NTP-STAG Vice President of Sales, Fred Petrivelli. “We anticipate that transactions will be completely executed via electronic cart pre-loading at The EXPO in the near future.”

As The EXPO delivered the message of NTP-STAG’s vision, Rogers was upbeat about the show based on attendees’ feedback. “We always conclude The EXPO with a large reception and this year, we brought everyone out to the Texas Live! EXETER, PA – If an event’s success is measured by attendance and sales, NTP-STAG’s 2019 EXPO would be one for the record books. By almost every measure – attendance, exhibit hall size, sales, new product and program reveals, the 2019 EXPO appeared to break all the previous show records. “We had high expectations going into the event,” stated Bill Rogers, President of NTP-STAG. “The results were exactly what we hoped for – strong attendance, busy show floor, solid representation by leading suppliers in our market, and great sales,” he adds.

The 2019 EXPO, held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, had over 3,000 preregistered NTP-STAG customers, supplier personnel and staff scheduled to attend.  The two day event had the largest RV University attendance ever and the 150,000 square foot exhibit hall was humming with people and deals until the closing bell.

“Our training and education programs continue to be a strong draw for the EXPO,” says John Spaulding Director of Communications and Events. “It reinforces the fact that there is a desire for people to be better at their jobs and have a deeper understanding of the products, business practices and trends that impact their success. Having over 1,100 people signed up to participate in our education programs this year was incredible.”

During EXPO, there was definitely a focus on new items, product categories and marketing programs that can help dealers grow their businesses. The traditional model store was transformed into an idea center where attendees could see how a variety of categories like, pet supplies, portable lighting, kitchen items, smart technology products and PDI components can be merchandised to improve impulse shopping and overall store sales performance.

Fred Petrivelli, Vice President of Sales says, “Helping customers find new products and showing them how to sell them was a key initiative for us at the show this year. Based on the level of interest we saw in the merchandising area and with the 17 new suppliers we had on the show floor, I would say we delivered on that one.”  When asked if the on-the-floor promotions delivered, too, he said, “Keeping the energy up on the show floor was easy. The power hours were terrific!”

The company reported that their pre-cart order building process was a success this year with more than 64% of the registered dealer accounts having come prepared with some of their buying pre-planned. The pre-cart sales totals were up over 50% from 2018. Ralph Ruzzi, Vice President of NTP-STAG Canada said, “Obviously, coming to the show prepared gives people more time to spend with suppliers on the floor learning about new products and I think that really helped us achieve our overall sales plan at the event.”

“Based on what we experienced in Nashville this week, I’d have to say that things are off to a pretty good start,” says Rogers. “The suppliers were very complimentary. Our customers were appreciative and upbeat, and they really showed a keen interest in a lot of the new things we introduced. From our Marketing Garage digital content solutions and Parts VIA to product and service offers from DISH, Pet Comfort, Blue Ox, Airxcel, Carefree, Valterra and others, I really couldn’t be happier with what I saw this week.  The best part was being able to build on so many great relationships that we have.”

Exeter, PA – One of the most important things a dealer can do before they attend NTP-STAG’s EXPO, is prepare. “Over the past several years we have integrated technology solutions into our trade show to make it easier for our customers to maximize their time on the show floor with us and take advantage of all the special offers we provide,” states John Spaulding, Director of Events and Communications. “Early preparation and utilization of these new tools can really improve a customer’s experience at the show,” he adds.

The company found that dealers who reviewed their purchase histories, took stock of their inventory and forecasted their demand for certain products before the show typically had more time to visit with suppliers about new lines and learn about new products and services offered by NTP-STAG. “Our Pre-Cart option within VIA allows our customers to get a head-start on building their show orders. The functionality is available now, giving everyone attending EXPO plenty of time to develop a buying plan for when they are with us in Nashville January 22-23,” says Fred Petrivelli, VP Sales NTP-STAG.

NTP-STAG’s pre-cart works just like an e-commerce shopping cart. Customers can add items to the pre-cart by selecting the Add-to-Expo Cart button available on product list and product detail pages within VIA. Pre-cart contents can be modified at any time and show pricing will appear on those items at the opening of the show.

EXPO attendee can also use the Pre-Show Upload tool available in the EXPO site. The Upload tool uses a simple Excel file format that allows customers to build their show buy and upload directly into a pre-cart. This is extremely helpful for customers that use their point of sales software to output usage reports. The information those reports generate can now be easily translated into a shopping cart making it much faster to build an order.

Technology advancements have also influenced how orders are placed at the show. Electronic ordering was introduced at EXPO two years ago, and is fast becoming the most popular way to submit orders. “Dealers are realizing that the time savings, order accuracy and other benefits associated with the technology makes the order writing process easier, faster and more enjoyable,” says Spaulding. “We use a bring-your-own-devise-and-data approach to our web-based solution and found that it is easier for people to use equipment they are familiar with. If it can connect to the internet, it can be used to place orders at the show.”

Exeter, PA (February 2, 2018) – Coming off the heels of the most successful NTP-STAG EXPO ever, the company announced today that the 2019 event will be held in Nashville, TN at Gaylord Opryland, January 22-23. “Our experience at the Gaylord Texan was outstanding this year which only served to reinforce our decision to use another Gaylord property in 2019,” stated John Spaulding, Director of Communications and Events for NTP-STAG. “The all-under-one-roof design of their resort and the extensive list of amenities available on-site or nearby should really be a nice draw for our guests. We set the bar pretty high this year and are confident the 2019 EXPO will be even better.”

NTP-STAG reported that the 2018 EXPO grossed the highest sales numbers of any previous event, eclipsing their record breaking 2017 show in Anaheim, exceeding their internal targets with double digit gains. “The results this year were phenomenal,” said Bill Rogers, Keystone/NTP-STAG Business Leader. “We saw an increase in the number of attending accounts placing orders and the average order size for those accounts were up considerably over the previous year. Having a 21% increase in the number of supplier lines sold, told us that dealers continue to look for new items and lines to supplement their existing business and EXPO is the place they come to find them.”

Strong participation at RV University reinforced the company’s observation that continuing education and product training remain an important need in the market. According to Fred Petrivelli, VP of Sales for NTP-STAG, “The technical product seminars and PRO business development trainings were very well received from the dealers I spoke to. Hosting more than 900 people at RV University this year was huge, and you could sense from the feedback we were getting that our quality program delivers something that they don’t get anywhere else.”

The 2019 EXPO in Nashville will share the same two-day format that the company has used over the past two years. However, Spaulding adds, “We always try to add a special twist to our programming to create some excitement for our guests. 2019 will be no different so stay tuned for some exciting announcements.”

NTP-STAG Opens 2021 with Expo
Exeter, PA (February 05, 2021) – NTP-STAG, the leading distribution company for the recreational vehicle aftermarket, opened the new year with the 2021 Expo, both in person on January 18 – 19 at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, FL, followed by a weeklong virtual event January 25 – 29.
 
“Supported by extensive customer surveys and supplier communications voicing a strong interest in our holding the live show, our events team worked closely with the Marriott Orlando World Center staff to establish parameters and protocols while integrating the technology and tools that allowed us to execute a safe and healthy event for all attendees,” said NTP-STAG President, Bill Rogers. “Although meeting these needs required us to reduce the number of staff, exhibitors and customers, the result was a high-quality event allowing dealers valuable networking opportunities while partaking in the various educational seminars and of course, show-only sales and promotions. In conjunction with the live event, the virtual Expo, hosted through NTP-STAG’s online portal, viantp.com, provided attendees weeklong access to a similar slate of sales and promotions, Power Hours and buying opportunities along with the impressive roster of speakers and product seminars that appeared at the live event in Orlando. Attendee, PPL Motor Homes President, Diana LeBlanc summarized her sentiments at the conclusion of the show in Orlando. “We didn’t know what to expect coming this year, we just knew that NTP-STAG would take care of us. The feeling this year is completely different but it’s a good feeling and I think it’s going to be the future of the industry.”
